Annual Holy Kailash Yatra begins from Vasuki Nag Temple, Bhaderwah, J&K

  • Event: The three-day Holy Kailash Yatra commenced from the ancient Vasuki Nag Temple, Gatha, Bhaderwah, Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Send-off: Pilgrims were accorded a warm farewell by DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal, MLA Dalip Singh Parihar, local officials, and residents.
  • Precautions:
    • Limited number of yatris allowed due to recent cloudburst incidents and inclement weather.
    • Medical teams and administrative arrangements deployed along the yatra route for safety.
  • Itinerary:
    • Night halt at Hayan (Nalthi).
    • Arrival at Kailash Kund for holy dip in Kailash Dal and performance of religious rituals.
    • Return journey to Bhaderwah scheduled on 22 August 2025.
  • Significance:
    • Preserves religious and cultural traditions of the region.
    • Strengthens local administration’s disaster preparedness and safety management during pilgrimage events.
