Acting President of Myanmar, U Myint Swe, passed away at the age of 74 in Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of August 5, 2025.✅ Key Points:

• U Myint Swe had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and related neurological conditions.
• He was on medical leave since July 2024, and had handed over duties to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
• He became Vice President in March 2016.
• Assumed role of Acting President in February 2021 after U Win Myint was detained.
• He declared a state of emergency and transferred power to the military commander.
