One-time online registration for PMVBRY opens
Context:
The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) portal has been launched under the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme. The scheme was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day 2025 address from the Red Fort.
Key Features of PMVBRY:
- Incentives to Youth:
- Newly employed youth will get up to ₹15,000 in two instalments.
- Incentives to Employers:
- Employers will receive up to ₹3,000 per month per new employee to encourage job creation.
- Job Creation Target:
- Aims to create 3.5 crore jobs in two years.
- Focus Areas:
- Employment generation across all sectors, with special focus on the manufacturing sector.
- Enhance employability and provide social security.
- Effective Date:
- Implemented from 1st August 2025.
