Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's Samriddhi Yatra to Reach Sitamarhi Today; To Inaugurate and Lay Foundation Stones for Projects Worth Over ₹554 Crore

As part of the Samriddhi Yatra, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to visit Sitamarhi district on Monday, the fourth day of his statewide development tour. During the visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 67 development projects worth more than ₹554 crore.The Chief Minister will arrive by helicopter at around 11:00 AM near the Chandauli Bridge. At 11:15 AM, he will inaugurate the high-level RCC bridge over the Bagmati River at Chandauli Ghat on the Belsand–Minapur Road, constructed at a cost of ₹70.89 crore.Following the inauguration, he will inspect the Bagmati River embankment before proceeding to Hit Narayan Inter School, Chandauli.At the school campus, the Chief Minister will:

  • Inaugurate the Nakshatra Vatika.
  • Visit the library.
  • Inspect the Baudhayan Live Classes facility.
  • Visit exhibition stalls showcasing various government-sponsored development and welfare schemes.

During the programme, the Chief Minister will:

  • Lay the foundation stone for 41 projects worth approximately ₹346 crore.
  • Inaugurate 26 completed projects worth approximately ₹208.12 crore.

After interacting with the public during the Jan Samvad (Public Dialogue) programme, he will hold a review meeting with district officials to assess the progress of ongoing government schemes.

Major Projects to be Inaugurated

  • High-Level RCC Bridge at Chandauli Ghat on Belsand–Minapur Road – ₹70.89 crore
  • RCC Bridge on Rasalpur–Garha Road
  • Multiple Health and Wellness Centres
  • Modular Operation Theatre
  • Several Panchayat Government Buildings
  • Model Police Stations at Suppi and Bhittha
  • Naxal Police Station Buildings at Choraut and Garha
  • Mobile Forensic Science Laboratory

Major Projects for Foundation Stone Laying

  • Block-cum-Circle Office Buildings in multiple blocks including Bathnaha, Parihar, Bairgania, Riga, Sonbarsa, Majorganj, Sursand, Pupri, Dumra and Suppi.
  • Block-cum-Circle Office Buildings at Choraut and Parsauni.
  • Construction of a 12-room District Guest House.
  • Panchayat Government Building at Kaudiya Raipur.
  • Several additional administrative and public infrastructure projects.

Extensive security and administrative arrangements have been made for the Chief Minister's visit. Preparations were reviewed by Divisional Commissioner Girivar Dayal Singh, along with the District Magistrate Riche Pandey, Superintendent of Police Amit Ranjan, and other senior officials.After completing nearly two-and-a-half hours of engagements in Sitamarhi, the Chief Minister is scheduled to proceed to Sheohar district as part of the ongoing Samriddhi Yatra.
