Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has launched ‘Cyber Safe Click’, an AI-based chatbot developed by the Indore Police to strengthen citizen safety, cybersecurity awareness, traffic management, and police-citizen service delivery. The initiative marks an important step in technology-enabled policing in the State, with Indore becoming the first city in Madhya Pradesh to roll out such an AI-driven citizen interface. The launch took place on the occasion of Vijayadashami, with the Chief Minister activating the chatbot by scanning a QR code on his mobile device.
The launch of Cyber Safe Click reflects the growing use of Artificial Intelligence in governance and policing, particularly in areas that require real-time information delivery, citizen outreach, and simplified public access to services. In this case, the chatbot has been designed as a digital assistant that allows citizens to interact with the police through both voice and text, thereby lowering entry barriers and making police-related services more user-friendly.
A major significance of the initiative lies in its focus on citizen-centric policing. Traditionally, interaction with police systems often required physical visits, phone calls, or departmental navigation that could be time-consuming and inaccessible for many citizens.
