The Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj conferred the National Model Youth Gram Sabha (MYGS) Awards 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots democracy awareness among students by simulating Gram Sabha functioning. Schools from across India were recognised, with JNV Una (Himachal Pradesh) and EMRS Kosambuda (Chhattisgarh) securing the top positions.
