IN NEWS: Uttar Pradesh jumps 11 ranks in SDG Index, enters ‘Front Runner’ category


Introduction

Uttar Pradesh has recorded a significant improvement in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index, moving from the ‘Performer’ category to ‘Front Runner’. The state’s score increased from 42 (2018–19) to 67 (2023–24), resulting in a jump from 29th to 18th rank, marking one of the most improved performances among states.
