🎓 Bihar launches Mukhyamantri Pratijna Yojana (CM PRATIGYA Scheme) – Internship with Stipend
Patna, August 2, 2025:
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has announced a new internship scheme – Mukhyamantri Pratijna Yojana (Promotion of Readiness, Awareness and Technical Insights for Guiding Youth Advancement – CM PRATIGYA). The scheme provides youth with opportunities to work in reputed companies and gain practical experience, along with a government-funded stipend.
Key Features:
- Launch Date: 1 July 2025 (approved in Cabinet meeting)
- Objective: To boost employment and skill development among Bihar’s youth.
- Target: 1 lakh youth to benefit in the next 5 years.
- Budget: ₹40.69 crore allocated.
Stipend Structure:
- Class 12 pass: ₹4,000 per month
- Diploma/ITI holders: ₹5,000 per month
- Graduates/Postgraduates: ₹6,000 per month
- Additional Benefit: ₹2,000 per month (for 3 months) if internship is outside Bihar
Eligibility:
- Must be a resident of Bihar
- Age: 18–25 years
- Minimum qualification: 12th pass
- Candidates must undergo skill development training
- In 2025–26, 5,000 youth will be selected; from next year onwards, 20,000 annually
Application Process:
- Online application through a dedicated portal (being developed by the Labour Resource Department)
- List of companies will be uploaded on the portal
- Applicants can choose companies as per qualification and interest
- Selection list will be prepared jointly by government officials and companies
