🎓 Bihar launches Mukhyamantri Pratijna Yojana (CM PRATIGYA Scheme) – Internship with Stipend

Patna, August 2, 2025:

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has announced a new internship scheme – Mukhyamantri Pratijna Yojana (Promotion of Readiness, Awareness and Technical Insights for Guiding Youth Advancement – CM PRATIGYA). The scheme provides youth with opportunities to work in reputed companies and gain practical experience, along with a government-funded stipend.

Key Features:

Launch Date: 1 July 2025 (approved in Cabinet meeting)
Objective: To boost employment and skill development among Bihar’s youth.
Target: 1 lakh youth to benefit in the next 5 years.
Budget: ₹40.69 crore allocated.

Stipend Structure:

Class 12 pass: ₹4,000 per month
Diploma/ITI holders: ₹5,000 per month
Graduates/Postgraduates: ₹6,000 per month
Additional Benefit: ₹2,000 per month (for 3 months) if internship is outside Bihar

Eligibility:

Must be a resident of Bihar
Age: 18–25 years
Minimum qualification: 12th pass
Candidates must undergo skill development training
In 2025–26, 5,000 youth will be selected; from next year onwards, 20,000 annually

Application Process:

Online application through a dedicated portal (being developed by the Labour Resource Department)
List of companies will be uploaded on the portal
Applicants can choose companies as per qualification and interest
Selection list will be prepared jointly by government officials and companies
