🚉 Bihar: 3 More Railway Stations to Become World-Class under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
Good news for Bihar!
Three more railway stations of the state – Jhanjharpur, Mokama, and Barhiya – have been included under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme of Indian Railways.👉 With this, over 40 railway stations in Bihar are now part of the scheme.
Key Highlights:
- These stations will be redeveloped with world-class facilities like first-class waiting rooms, free Wi-Fi, modern seating, escalators, food courts, purified drinking water, advanced display boards, and circulating areas.
 - The stations will also reflect local art and culture in their design.
 - Union Minister Lalan Singh thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving Mokama and Barhiya.
 - JDU leader Sanjay Jha also expressed gratitude for the inclusion of Jhanjharpur station, calling it a big gift for Mithila.
 
About the Scheme:
- Amrit Bharat Station Scheme was launched by the Railway Ministry in February 2023.
 - It aims to redevelop 1300+ stations across India into world-class facilities with airport-like passenger amenities.
 - Goal: Make travel comfortable, modern, and culturally enriched for passengers.
