Bihar Government Schemes for Youth Entrepreneurship (2 Lakh – 10 Lakh)

Objective:

• Promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among Bihar youth.
• Reduce migration to other states for work by supporting local businesses and startups.

Key Schemes:

1. Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana (Small Entrepreneur Scheme)
   • Target: Less-educated youth aspiring to start small businesses.
   • Support Provided:
     • Training for over 62 types of small industries.
     • Financial assistance up to ₹2 lakh for tools, machinery, rent, etc.
   • Benefit: Enables youth to start small-scale enterprises locally.
2. Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana (Chief Minister Entrepreneur Scheme)
   • Target: Youth across different categories for medium-scale business.
   • Financial Assistance:
     • Loan up to ₹10 lakh.
     • Only ₹5 lakh to be repaid, with low interest and easy installments.
   • Eligible Projects: Around 58 types of projects approved under the scheme.
3. Bihar Startup Policy
   • Target: Innovative youth with unique business ideas or startups.
   • Financial Support: Interest-free loan up to ₹10 lakh.
   • Objective: Encourage new startups, innovation, and local job creation.

Significance:

• Provides financial, training, and operational support for youth entrepreneurship.
• Encourages self-reliance and reduces out-migration for jobs.
