In News – Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Subsidy Extended for 2025-26
The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the continuation of targeted subsidies under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) for the year 2025–26 at an estimated cost of ₹12,000+ crore. The subsidy will be ₹300 per 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for up to nine refills per year, benefiting 10.33 crore households.
