IIT Madras launches School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • IIT Madras has launched a School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to build a world-class ecosystem for deep-tech start-ups and strengthen its position on the global map of entrepreneurial universities.
  • Inaugurated by: Prof. V. Kamakoti (Director, IIT Madras).
  • Attendees included: Prof. Ashwin Mahalingam (Dean, Alumni & Corporate Relations), Prof. Anbarasu Manivannan (Head, School of Interdisciplinary Studies), Prof. Prabhu Rajagopal (Founding Head of the new school), startup founders, faculty, students, alumni, and industry partners.

    • 475+ start-ups under IITM Incubation Cell.
    • Valuation: ₹50,000+ crore (~US$ 6 billion).
