IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall Across Several States; Thunderstorms Likely in Parts of East and North India

- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Uttarakhand tomorrow.

- Parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, and north-eastern states are also likely to witness heavy rainfall during the next 2–3 days.

- Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are expected tomorrow in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, and Ladakh.


Strong surface winds are likely over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana tomorrow.
