India-Singapore Green & Digital Maritime Corridor takes center stage at Mumbai Dialogue ahead of India Maritime Week 2025

The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and Indian Ports Association (IPA), under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, hosted the Leaders’ Dialogue on Green & Digital Maritime Corridors in Mumbai, setting the stage for India Maritime Week 2025 (27–31 October, Goregaon, Mumbai).

• Focus: India–Singapore Green & Digital Shipping Corridor; promotes low-emission technologies & digital tools for sustainable maritime trade.
• Leaders’ Remarks:
  • Sarbananda Sonowal: Credited PM Modi for strengthening India–Singapore ties; corridor to redefine trade via economic, green, and digital pathways.
  • Devendra Fadnavis: Unveiled Maharashtra’s maritime roadmap (milestones 2029, 2035, 2047); Vadhavan Port to debut among top 10 global ports.
  • Gan Kim Yong (Singapore DPM): Highlighted 60-year partnership & collaboration in green shipping, renewable energy, and innovation.
  • Jeffrey Siow (Singapore Acting Transport Minister): MoU on corridor to be finalized in Sep 2025.
