NASA discovers 29th satellite of Uranus
- Discovery: NASA announced that the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has identified a new moon of Uranus, named S/2025 U1, increasing Uranus’ known satellite count to 29.
- Discovery Team: Led by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI); identification date: 2nd February 2025.

- Diameter: ~10 km
- Orbital distance from Uranus: ~56,000 km
- Significance:
- Though small in size, the discovery enhances understanding of Uranus’ satellite system and planetary formation.
