Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 5th Anniversary Celebration

  • The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, in collaboration with the Government of NCT of Delhi, will host a special event on 13 August 2025 at KV School No. 2, New Delhi, marking the 5th anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA).
  • The event will highlight the campaign’s achievements, share inspiring stories, and mobilize youth and communities to strengthen anti-drug efforts.
  • NMBA Overview:
    • Launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to address substance use disorder as a psycho-social-medical issue.
    • Focus areas: Prevention, Treatment, Rehabilitation, Awareness.
  • Key Achievements:
    • Over 18.10 crore people sensitized, including 6.02 crore youth and 4.08 crore women.
    • Participation from 4.85 lakh educational institutions.
    • Network of 20,000+ trained Master Volunteers.
    • Use of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and a dedicated mobile app for outreach and data collection.
  • Collaborations:
    • Partnerships with The Art of Living, Brahma Kumaris, Sant Nirankari Mission, Ram Chandra Mission, ISKCON, All World Gayatri Parivaar for mass awareness drives.
  • Major Campaigns: Nashe se AzaadiNaya Bharat, Nasha Mukt Bharat, and NCC youth engagement programs.
