National FPO Conclave 2025 inaugurated by Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Delhi

- The National FPO Conclave 2025 was inaugurated by Union Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi.

- The event underlined the government’s focus on transforming farmers from mere producers to entrepreneurs and traders, ensuring that the economic benefits directly reach them.
- The Union Minister announced that the government will soon bring a new Seed Act, aimed at ensuring farmers receive high-quality seeds.
- He also emphasized the government’s plan to introduce strict laws against fake seeds and pesticides to safeguard farmer interests.
- The Minister reiterated the importance of integrated farming, value addition, and agri-entrepreneurship for enhancing farmers’ income.
- The event served as a significant platform for Minister–Farmer dialogue, with emphasis on promoting Swadeshi, women empowerment, and self-reliant villages through FPOs.
- A total of 267 FPOs showcased their agricultural products — cereals, pulses, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, organic and processed foods — in the Grand Exhibition at the NCDC premises.
- The conclave also hosted technical sessions and panel discussions on vital themes such as oilseed production, water-use efficiency, natural farming, Agricultural Infrastructure Fund, honey production, digital marketing, AGMARK certification, and seed production.
- The Minister urged FPOs to expand membership, increase turnover, and enhance credibility, ensuring maximum benefit for small farmers.
- The event marks a strong step towards inclusive, innovative, and sustainable agricultural growth, while bridging gaps between farmers, buyers, and policymakers.
