On the occasion of National Handloom Day, Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan holds a virtual interaction with lakhs of Self-Help Group (SHG) women members
Union Minister for Rural Development & Agriculture, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, interacted virtually from Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, with lakhs of Self-Help Group (SHG) women members on the occasion of National Handloom Day.
Minister highlighted that handloom symbolises self-reliance and was a weapon of non-violent struggle during the freedom movement.
Appreciated SHG women for reviving local art and culture.
Urged citizens to embrace swadeshi (indigenous goods) to strengthen national pride.
Event attended by MoS for Rural Development Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Rural Development Secretary Shri Shailesh Kumar Singh, and senior officials.
