PM Modi Pays Tribute to Kakori Heroes on 100th Anniversary

n Uttar Pradesh, various events were organised on the 100th anniversary of the Kakori Train Action.
- State Observance: CM Yogi Adityanath called the incident a saga of bravery that inspires citizens to uphold the spirit of Nation First.
- National Tribute: PM Narendra Modi paid tribute to Kakori heroes on the centenary.
- Exhibition: Prasar Bharati Chairman Navneet Sehgal inaugurated an exhibition of rare and historical newspapers under the title ‘Dastawej’at the Kokoro Art Gallery, Lucknow.
- Displays rare pictures of martyrs Ram Prasad Bismil, Rajendra Nath Lahiri, Roshan Singh, and Ashfaqulla Khan.
- Exhibition open till 12 August 2025.

- Organised by Hindustan Republican Association (HRA) to fund revolutionary activities.
- Date: 9 August 1925; Location: Near Kakori, Uttar Pradesh.
- Objective: Rob government treasury carried on a train; also a symbolic act against British colonial rule.
- Key figures: Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Rajendra Nath Lahiri, Roshan Singh, and others.
