- Event: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Aunta-Simaria project in Gaya, Bihar on 22nd of this month.
- Project Details:
- Includes a nearly 2 km-long bridge over the Ganga.
- Provides direct connectivity between Mokama (Patna district) and Begusarai.
- Constructed parallel to the old 2-lane rail-cum-road bridge, Rajendra Setu.
- Significance:
- Reduces extra travel distance by up to 100 km for heavy vehicles traveling between North and South Bihar.
- Eases travel, saves fuel and vehicle operation costs, and improves regional logistics.
- Supports regional development and economic integration in Bihar.
