Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards conferred by Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, recognizing top-performing cities in urban sanitation and cleanliness across India. The ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi and hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).

   • Super Swachh League Cities: Indore, Surat, Navi Mumbai
   • New Clean Cities: Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Lucknow
   • Promising Clean Cities: 34 cities across various States/UTs recognized under the ‘One City, One Award’ principle.

   • Best Ganga Town: Prayagraj

   • Swachh City Partnership: Top-performing cities to mentor underperforming ones, fostering peer learning and capacity building.
   • Accelerated Dumpsite Remediation Program: One-year initiative starting 15 August 2025 to fast-track legacy waste remediation, unlock urban space, and boost scientific waste processing.
4. President’s Remarks
   • Emphasized Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) approach.
   • Highlighted role of circular economy, green jobs, and entrepreneurship via SHGs.
   • Praised smaller cities (population <1 lakh) for excellence in swachhata, school interventions, source segregation initiatives, and zero-waste colonies.

   • Revised survey includes 10 new parameters and 5 population categories for inclusive evaluation.

   • Swachh Survekshan Dashboard launched digitally for interactive insights on city rankings and performance.

   • President presented with waste-to-wealth sarangi memento, symbolizing sustainability and artistic innovation.
   • Audio-visual presentations showcased achievements of Super Swachh League Cities and the nationwide cleanliness movement.
