  • The Government has revamped the Sugamya Bharat App to strengthen accessibility for Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) and elderly citizens.

About Sugamya Bharat App

  • Launched: 2021 by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
  • Purpose:
    • A crowdsourcing mobile app to enable citizens to report accessibility barriersin:
      • Public infrastructure
      • Transportation
      • ICT (Information & Communication Technology) systems
    • Platform for grievance redressal & monitoring compliance under Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan).
