• Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh launched ‘Bharat Gen’ – India’s first indigenously developed, government-funded, AI-based Multimodal Large Language Model (LLM) for Indian languages, at the BharatGen Summit.
• Developed under: National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS).
• Implemented by: TIH Foundation for IoT and IoE at IIT Bombay.
• Supported by: Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Key Features of Bharat Gen

• Multimodal: Processes and understands text, speech, and visual data.
• Language Coverage: Designed for multiple Indian languages to ensure inclusivity.
